Environmental protection
After identifying and analyising the impact of our processes on the environment, we completed a policy that focuses on environmental pollution prevention, pression reduction on the environment, also on optimal material and resource utilization.
The ratio of recycled paper has increased in the recent decades, and according to a publication issued in 2014 by the European Recovered Paper Council (ERPC), it has reached 71.7% in 2013. With this value paper is the world’s leading recycled material. Paper made of natural and renewable rawmaterials is one of the most effective communication device.
Waste utilization, disposal
In accordance with legal regulations KOMPRESS maintaines the disposal of dangerous waste and the recycling of non-hazardous waste (e.g. paper, aluminium).
FSC® system
KOMPRESS has integrated the stipulations of the certified FSC® CoC (FSC-STD-40-004, v.3.0) system, into its operations. Licence code: FSC-C110830
The foundation objective of the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) as an independent, out of government control, non-profit organization, was to facilitate the responsible sylviculture.
FSC® is a certification system, based on globally acknowledged standards, posesses a trademark and performs accreditation services to those companies, organizations and communities that are concerned about responsible sylviculture. The FSC® trademark indicates that the organization maintaines responsible activity from social and environmental aspects.
FSC® Chain of Custody is a product tracking system which leads from the forest till the end user. Includes all conversion, production and distribution activities of the timber supply chain where the ownership shifts.
To claim the use of this trademark on its products, KOMPRESS initiated and certified an effective control system, by an independent auditor. The development and initialization of the system is an option to introduce our customers the origin of the materials we.
Based on the above KOMPRESS takes responsibility for dissociating itself directly and indirectly from the below listed acitivities:
- unlawful logging, respectively the trade with unlawful timber and wooden products
- the breach of traditional and human rights in the course of the forestry activity
- destruction of environmental valuables in the course of the forestry activity
- significant transformation of forests into plantations or other lands
- initiation of GMO to the forestry
- violation of any basic ILO convention
